Winners of the Villar SIPAG Awards

It was on December 13, 2012 when the Villar Foundation finally opens SIPAG Center to the public. It was also on that same year that the foundation was celebrating its 20th anniversary of providing livelihood programs to many Filipino families. Villar Foundation's advocacy includes promoting livelihood projects such as weaving baskets using water hyacinth, solid waste management to saving a river (Las Pinas-Zapote river) skill-up training, medical assistance and scholarship. A year after the SIPAG Center was inaugurated, The Villar SIPAG Awards for Poverty Reduction . was launched. It's a nationwide search to recognize the excellent achievements of community enterprises that gave impact to local economic development and betterment of Filipino lives. Just before Christmas, husband and I were invited to an intimate launch of the newest game app created to honor the late comedy king , Dolphy. The game app, DOLPHY CLEAN App features Dolphy as protagonist-hero . It's a downloadable game , featuring a main character patterned after the looks and demeanor of the comedy king. Dolphy Clean up is describe as both fun and educational  as it helps promote awareness on environmental protection.

The National College of Business and Arts Fairview‘s Hotel and Restaurant Management Society received the grand prize among the top 10 finalists in the recently held C2 Cool and Clean “Sarap Ng Christmas” Tree-Making Contest awarding ceremon y at Market-Market in Taguig City . C2 Cool and Clean , a refreshing ready-to-drink green tea beverage held its C2 Sarap ng Christmas Tree-Making Contest which aims to bring a relevant and memorable Christmas experience to the young and young-at-heart.
