I've been using a Samsung fully-automatic top-load washing machine for more than two years now. I can say it really makes my life easier when it comes to household chores. During the rainy days, I can still do the laundry because of its Air Turbo mode where clothes are dried faster.

Scholarship gives opportunity for many of us who wants to pursue college education. Way back in college, I remember having difficulty to afford my college tuition fee, I was glad that I was able to pass a scholarship grant in my school. This became a challenge for me to focus in my studies. Recently, SM Foundation celebrated another milestone under its education program as it produced 225 graduates from its 20th batch of scholars since its college scholarship program started in 1993. One of them is Medjugorje Uy, 19 years old, who grew up in a loving environment despite living in a shack on the edge of a construction dump site. It’s been several difficult years since Nov. 8, 2013, when the Philippines braved the strongest storm ever recorded, and took the brunt of Typhoon Haiyan, the deadliest Philippine typhoon to date. As the typhoon swept through Samar, Leyte, Cebu, Capiz, Negros and Northern Iloilo, it left in its wake 6,300 dead, and cities such as Tacloban in a brittle heap. According to reports, an estimated 16 million people were affected by Typhoon Haiyan, 4.1 million people were displaced, and 1.1 million houses were damaged after the devastation. Rebuilding the cities, especially Tacloban, and helping the communities bounce back from such devastation was a challenge. British School Manila held a fund-raising event, " A Taste of Culture "  #WeAreInternational . It was a get together over good food from our the world, great performances from BSM students and parents, the spectacular Parade of Nations, Marching Band, Majorettes and Festive Higantes. Over 1,600 people joined the biggest fund-raising event in the Service Learning calendar, and sold over 3,700 raffle tickets. BSM is hoping it will all help them reach their fund-raising target of one million Pesos!
