SM Supermarket Celebrates 25th Anniversary

The country’s largest supermarket chain - SM Supermarket, celebrated its 25th anniversary last week by launching the next phase of the Greenbag Project and introducing the 25 members of the new SM Food Council.

It also revealed the new logo as a sign of progress in their 25th year in the business, giving their loyal customers more improvements to look forward to.

“...We want to do our part and encourage our shoppers to help save the world with us.  Our hope is to trigger a chain reaction and make the Greenbag our first step towards a sustainable future.  The Philippines has given us so much, its time we do our share in giving back to our country,” said SM Supermarket’s Hendrik Sy.

SM also chose 25 young and talented individuals to comprise the SM Food Council. Among them are celebrity couple Suzi and Paolo Abrera. Completing the list are

 The SM Food Council aims to help in promoting the company’s various efforts that allow customers to maximize their shopping experience.

Moreover, SM Supermarket treateded its shoppers with a ‘buy one, take one’ promo on the SM Greenbag at its original price of P35 and a special anniversary sale. I'm sure mommies would be so happy about this. :)

The silver anniversary’s theme is “We are 25 years because of You!” SM rewarded SM Advantage, Prestige, and BDO Rewards card holders with an exclusive shopping promo of getting 25 SM Advantage points or buying selected items for only P25.

The celebration was A-ok as exciting treats and surprises benefited both the customers and the environment (green bag). It was a meaningful way to celebrate SM Supermarket 25th year anniversary.
