On Saturday March 19, we will be celebrating Earth Hour , a global awareness and campaign for our the environment. There will be several activities within the country including al l 56 SM malls. SM malls  in China will also participate in turning their lights off at exactly 8:30 PM on March 19. This is the 9th year that SM has supported the world’s largest public campaign for the environment. The Philippines was one of the top 10 countries with the highest number of participants in 2015.   This year’s theme, “ Shine a Light on Climate Action ”, reiterates Earth Hour’s goals of not only getting public support for climate change mitigation and adaptation but also getting individuals and groups to do their share beyond the one-hour symbolic switching off of lights.     “We invite the public to visit the nearest SM mall in their respective areas on March 19 and be part of this global movement,” said Liza Silerio, Director of SM Cares Program on Environment and Sustainability. “We want to

British School Manila held a fund-raising event, " A Taste of Culture "  #WeAreInternational . It was a get together over good food from our the world, great performances from BSM students and parents, the spectacular Parade of Nations, Marching Band, Majorettes and Festive Higantes. Over 1,600 people joined the biggest fund-raising event in the Service Learning calendar, and sold over 3,700 raffle tickets. BSM is hoping it will all help them reach their fund-raising target of one million Pesos!

In celebration of the Goldilocks 50 years, the leading bakeshop in the country, recently held its 10th Intercollegiate Cake Decorating Challenge (ICDC) at SM North Edsa.
