Christmas is almost here and the quest to start preparing for the much-awaited Holiday begins. There’s buying decors, stuffing the pantry for all the upcoming parties, and buying gifts for loved ones. But instead of battling traffic, which has been such a pain recently, or clearing well-planned schedules just to be able to shop, why not chill and take your time for a change?

Pinoy food is undeniably one of the best cuisine in the world. Every region in the Philippines offers  specialty dish  - spicy laing in Bicol, bagnet in Ilocos and a lot more. In an epic cook-off by some of the country’s most talented street food cooks, ten of the best street food cooks competed at the grand finals of SM Hypermarket's Best Pinoy Street Food . The dishes were tested not only by Kusina Master - Chef Boy Logro but also by a crowd of 100 people composed of students, drivers, shoppers, and other business owners, the ones who eat their dishes every day. SM Hypermarket Best Pinoy Street Food 2015 Grand prize winner received her very own food stall at SM Hypermarket rent-free for a year as well as Php100,000 pesos worth of prizes including large food packs, ingredients, cooking equipment, etc. courtesy of SM Hypermarket’s Food Service Center.

The candidates of Miss Philippines Earth 2015 shared their culinary skills as they accepted the challenges at SM Market’s Grocery and Cooking Challenge.  Not just an ordinary cooking contest though, contestants needed to copy Kusina Master Chef Boy Logro 's recipe and complete other tasks. Before the cooking activities, Miss Earth candidates went scavenger hunt for things they needed in the kitchen. It was an eventful day not just for the beauty queens but also for the SM shoppers who got to mingle with the lovely ladies taking selfies, groufies, and even got the chance to sing with them.

  This is the time for festivity for another year was survived. And as a year ends, let us set the table and call friends and family for a special celebration as we welcome 2013.
