Happy Social Media Day! What about a luxurious SMDAY at Sofitel? In celebration of the global Social Media Day event, Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila is set to host a fun-filled week of digital activities through its official social media accounts. This year’s event highlights a photo competition that will run from the 26th until the 30th of June 2014 via www.fb.com/sofitelmanila entitled “Selfie for a Cause: A #SofitelSMDay Advocacy” . Inspired by the overwhelming result of the #SOFITELSMDAY 2013 celebration, the campaign advocates responsible use of social media in the Philippines.

Art has its way of making people feel limitless; it is a form of escape and to some, even a chosen refuge. Whatever art means to one’s soul, it heals, it mends, and it ultimately makes everything a tad bit better than it was before. It is in this light therefore, that Samsung Electronics Philippines Corporation (SEPCO) decided to harness the power of art to ease souls affected by adversity.             In light of last year’s Typhoon Yolanda , Samsung has spearheaded an effort that enabled teachers and students in Palo and Tacloban, Leyte, to participate in an art therapy workshop . This program aimed to provide them with a creative way of expressing and going beyond their traumatic experiences as a result of the devastation brought by the calamity.

Pampers believes that when a baby is born, a mother is born as well. Babies give moms a new capacity to love. Because of baby, mom now has a new found patience, sense of wonder and child-like joy.
