Elica Cream For Treatment of Eczema

Earlier, I attended the launch of Elica Cream and Ointment (Mometasone Furoate). It's a new product from Bayer Philippines that will treat inflamed, itchy eczema. When a child can't sleep at night, it might be due to monsters under the bed and that keeps mommies awake too. This monster attacks the skin, eczema.

Eczema is characterized by red, dry, itchy rashes on the skin. It is more common in children than in adults. It can also have a huge negative impact on a skid's life, like sleep deprivation.

Mometadine furoate, a synthetic corticosteroid, exhibits anti-inflammatory, antipuritic and vasoconstrictive properties. Each gram of mometasone furoate (Elica) ointment contains 1mg of mometasone furoate.

Elica cream and ointment are indicated for the relief of the inflammatory and prurituc manifestations such as eczema and psoriasis. Each gram of mometasone furoate cream and ointment contains 1 mg of mometasone furoate.

How to use Elica:

1. Wash hands.

2. Wash or wipe affected area before applying the cream.

3. Spread a small amount (1 drop of depending to the extent of inflammation) on the affected skin once only per day.

Bayer also introduced Elica celebrity endorser mom and daughter, Cheska Garcia Kramer and Scarlett. Mommy Cheska also shared her experiences when baby Sacrlett complained of itchiness.

According to Cheska, Scarlett used to cry at night because of her itchy rashes. But after their doctor recommended mometasone furoate or Elica, a topical steroid from Bayer Philippines, both mom and child saw results within 24 hours. The peaceful rests returned and since then, both mother and daughter have had sweet dreams.

Elica is not only for kids, even adults can use it to treat eczema. Follow Mommy Manila on Facebook and the writer on Instagram and Twitter.

Elica comes in ointment and cream. It is now available at leading drug stores. Please consult your physician before using any medication.
